"The young lads name is Eugene Attram and was 16 years of age. He joined the team in 2000 and had been committed to the wandle ever since. An extremely technical and skilful player and a very very well mannered and polite boy. A very good looking lad with a smile like a ray of sunshine. Genuinely a really nice lad who everyone loved for those who knew him.
He was always selected for my first 11 and most certainly a team player. Played right midfield and occasionally I would play him upfront.
It really is a big loss to all especially his Mother, Father and older Sister and everyone who connected with him. He attended Ernest Bevin College where he was doing a course in Business Studies in 6th form.
Unfortunately, God has taken Eugene from our world to send a message to all youngsters which I hope the message will get across.
It's every parents nightmare and I hope and pray we do not ever have to relive anything like this again. This is what they call close to home.

Wandle will be training at the Wandle Recreation Centre, Mapleton Road, Wandsworth SW18 4DN.

The Wandle centre is fully equipped with shower facilities, gym, studio and floodlit pitches.

The pitches are the latest technology 4th generation technology pitches, which is the closest you will get to real grass pitches. This will enable Wandle to train in the evenings on pitches which resembles grass under floodlights.

The pitches are enclosed in a secure area and will allow training times to be optimised, without the need to keep collecting footballs.

Please note that the Wandle offer several adult fitness classes too, so you are able to participate in activity whilst waiting for your child. Alternatively you are able to visit the Southside Shopping centre which is next to the Wandle.

Wandle Wanderers FC is an established youth football club based in Wandsworth and is desperately seeking new managers/coaches to full fill the vacant age groups.

Apart from the fulfillment of seeing children enjoy playing football, we will assit you obtaining your official FA Coaching badges (subject to a successful CRB check).
